Professional Dog Trainer
As a professional dog trainer (licensed and insured), I have completed formal education and provide the best possible learning experience for your dog AND you.
My method focusses on communication and operant conditioning. I work with people and dogs to develop a clear, consistent vocabulary and a system that rewards positive behaviors and discourages problem behaviors. Board and train and/or private lessons.
Retriever Training
Level 1

- diversion shots/birds

Level 3

- impeccable handling & lining
1 - 3 months per level
Upland (flushing dogs) Training
Level 1
- basic obedience
- introduction to shotgun fire
- introduction to birds/flushing
- hold conditioning
- hunting within range
- single marks
- limited handling
Level 2
- advanced obedience
- steadiness with shotgun fire
- delivery at heel
- double marks
- hunting within range/remote stop
- solid handling
Level 3
- impeccable obedience
- impeccable steadiness
- impeccable delivery
- sit on flush or whistle
- impeccable handling
1 - 3 months per level
Obedience Training
- No jumping
- No leash pulling
- Sit, place, come commands
- Crate training (optional)
- Solve problem behaviors
1 - 3 months
Facility
- individual 5 x 10 foot kennels
- 16 x 110 foot exercise/training run
- located on 80 acres - fields, wooded, technical water
Boarding
- Space available basis
- Large dogs only
- Priority given to previous clients
- Private 5 x 10 foot kennel
- Yard time daily
- $33 per night - one night minimum stay required
Requirements
Prior to drop off, proof of vaccination for Bordetella, Rabies, DHLP, and Parvo is required.
At drop off, provide food and flea/tick/worm medication for duration of stay.
